Ruscaceae, also known as the buckthorn family, is a family of flowering plants in the order Ranunculales. It consists of about 60 to 80 species in four genera: Ruscus, Fraxifolia, Adenocarpus, and Kolkwitzia. The plants are generally woody shrubs or climbers, often with spines or thorns, and have solitary or racemose flowers.
