Pterosaurs Definition

A group of flying reptiles that were among the earliest vertebrates to evolve powered flight. They lived during the Mesozoic Era, from around 230 million years ago to about 66 million years ago, and are not dinosaurs, despite their common mislabeling. They had typically long wings supported by a single fourth finger extending into a specialized claw.
