Pseudo-synchronous Digital Hierarchy, a type of digital communication standard, typically used in telecommunications by service providers in some European countries and elsewhere. It is a classical digital synchronous technology that predates SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) and SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy).
