Lantana Definition

Lantana is a genus of flowering plants in the verbena family, Verbenaceae. The genus includes about 150 species of flowering plants native to warm temperate, subtropical, and tropical regions of the Americas, southeast Asia, and Africa, but widely cultivated elsewhere as ornamental plants for their showy flower clusters and extended blooming periods.
