Ebionitist Definition

A term historically used to describe a member of an early Christian group that adhered to Jewish religious practices and rejected some of the core doctrines of mainstream Christianity, particularly the divinity of Jesus. Today, it is more commonly used in a derogatory sense to describe someone who rejects mainstream Christian beliefs, especially those about the deity of Jesus Christ, and places a greater emphasis on Judaism.
